Hannah was my first child to beg for something. Of course, all children ask for things, but Hannah begged us to buy her a computer. I thought that 6 years old was a bit too young to have a computer. Tammy and I discussed it privately and decided to buy her one. We took her to the store and she picked out an expensive laptop. I gave her restrictions on it. She was only allowed to play with it during the weekends. The first Saturday with it she spent the entire day at the park playing with it.

On Heidi’s last birthday it was clear that she is very frugal. She spent her weekends cutting coupons and going to the stores to purchasing the bargains. Helda was my first child to be on the honor roll at school. She was allowed to take college level courses and the first one she took was online cooking class for beginner chefs. She bought the books and spent her weekends studying.

Hormonie turned 13 on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon with her family all around her. Of course Louis was there. He is around here a lot lately.

Hannah’s first friend is a little boy she meets at the party. I’m not ready for any of my daughters to date, especially my youngest. “Its nice to meet you, my name is Hannah,” I heard her tell him. “I’ve seen you in my class. I know who you are,” he replied rudely

.

Heather fell in love with her boss, Jamal. He is a married man and has no clue that he is the object of her affection. She is also sucking up to him. I’m still not exactly sure what she does for a living. She still won’t tell me, but the money is good so I don’t complain. “Hey Jamal! I didn’t know you were coming out at the same time I was coming out,” Heather said insanely. “I always leave the same time as everyone else,”  he replied sarcastically.

Tammy and I still find the time for romance, even though we are told constantly by our girls that we are too old. If I kiss her in front of the girls they say its nasty. They better appreciate having a mother and father who are still happy and in love.

Since we have gotten so much older, Tammy has refused pictures, but Hormonie finally got her out of the house. They both come home looking very different.

Tammy:

Hormonie:

Finally, after all of these years Louis and I have found common ground. I like this kid a lot these days. He’s very respectful of my daughter and of all of us. I am more than happy to have him as a son-in-law one day. It’s too soon to be thinking of marriage, but it’s only a matter of time before it happens.

Late one Friday night I saw a light on in Hormonie and Hannah’s room, so I went to see what was going on. Even on weekends the younger ones are to be in bed by 11 and it was pushing 1AM. “Hannah, what are you doing? You know the rules around here about your bedtime,” I said, my voice starling her. “Oh, Daddy! I’m so sorry. I am just playing on my computer,” she said as she shut the computer. “You need to show me what you are doing right now!” I demanded. She didn’t want to tell me, but she knew I was upset and didn’t want to be in any trouble. “I’m writing a story. I don’t want anyone to know. I want this to be a surprise to everyone,” she said sadly. I told her I wasn’t upset and that I wouldn’t spoil the surprise, but she needed to find a way to write without breaking the rules.

Tammy and I have weekly date night on Saturdays since the kids can do for themselves. One particular night all of the girls ate together. Helda cooked her first dinner for the family. The spaghetti was wonderful and they all slept very well that night.

I could see the fear in Hormonie’s eyes as she boarded the school bus for her first day of high school. Helda, being the motherly figure she is, promised to take good care of her younger sister. This would be Helda and Heidi’s senior year of high school. Heidi, unlike her twin sister, had no idea what her career  choice was going to be.

The year flew by, and soon the twins turned 18 years old. Heidi blew out the candles first and entered into young adulthood in high spirits. She decided to become a jack of all trades since she couldn’t make her mind up on just one career and started off in business.

Helda, on the other hand, knew exactly what she wanted and immediately went to The Bistro and applied there. Her goal is to become a five-star chef.

Helda:

Heidi:

Morgan made a suprise visit to the Neverland family party. We haven’t see her in years and I was happy to see my half-sister. She had heard about Mom’s death, but since we haven’t had a funeral, she wanted to check in on us to see how we were making it.

Heidi called Louis one day after her birthday and realized that he had turned 18 as well and invited him over. They were ecstatic about seeing each other. Louis’ father had passed away leaving him with a lot of money and Heidi was secretly very happy about the thought of marrying into money.

Heather “accidentally” ran into Jamal while he and his wife were having dinner alone. “Oh my, hey Jamal. I didn’t expect to see you here,” she pulled up a chair and sat down in the middle of their dinner. “Um, Heather. I’m on a date with my wife. I think you need to go home and not make a scene.” She is insane and I have tried talking to her about finding a man that’s NOT married.

For the first time since Heidi and have Louis have been together I found them asleep in bed together. They are both adults now and as much as I wanted to freak out, I just quietly shut the door and walked away.

As much as Jamal has tried to push Heather away, he finally gave in and left his wife to see Heather. “I knew this day would come,” Heather said as she kissed him. He pulled away at first, but slowly gave in.

I shed a tear quietly as my final child, Hannah, grows into a teenager.

I suprised everyone by taking them to the airport, and when we landed in Eygpt where my Mom and Dad met most of them were very excited. I thought Tammy would hate the sun, sand, and heat, but she might have actually loved it more than I did. She snuck into someone’s house and down to their basement for a little adventure.

Hannah hated it because she couldn’t play on her computer on vacation and Heather drove her crazy. I finally had to separate them before they killed each other.

Helda had quite the adventure when she found a hole full of bugs. “OH MY GOD. OH CRAP. Ok I’m good now!” she screamed.

Tammy found some nice things in the tombs, including a few relics.

When every one was together I made an announcement: “Kids, I have something to tell you. Your mother and I are getting old and won’t be around much longer. I have to choose just one of you to carry on the legacy. Just like my mom chose me out of my brother and sister, I’ll have to do the same. This is not a competition. Don’t try to beat the other. Its a decision that your mother and I will make. Be mature about this and have a plan for the family. I’ll call you all back together and I want you to present your plan.”

What will the girls’ plan be for the family? Find out during the heir poll.
