Aren and I decided that we would try to have another child, before age got the best of us. We were successful on our first try. I even found out the sex of the child after the first 20 weeks. I’m pleased to announce that I’m pregnant with a little girl. We decided on the name Katelynn.
Over the past few generations, Sunset Valley has changed. There are new shops and more jobs available now. One new shop is a salon. Roxie and I spent a whole Saturday trying on clothes and putting on make-up. She is going to be moving out soon, and I’m going to really enjoy having a baby girl to dress up.
Stan was growing up, and looked just like his older brother had. He was learning to walk and talk, and we taught him to say Kate. “Sissy, Kate,” he would say, as he rubbed my tummy.
When Kate was born, we were so excited. She was such a good baby. She was just so smart from the start. I knew there was something special about her. Aren assumed it was just because she was my first daughter, but there was something else.
When Emerson turned 5, my life got easier. Having 3 children under the age of 5 had taken a toll on my body. I was stir crazy, and Aren took me out on a date to celebrate Emerson starting kindergarten.
Not long after Emerson’s 5th birthday, I turned 45. I was officially a middle-aged adult, and I assumed I was done having children.
Aren made me go out and pamper myself, and I did. I may have come home looking like a house wife, but that’s exactly what I was. I never once had questioned or regretted choosing not to go to work. While reading the newspaper one day, I found an article about artists. I had been painting my whole life, and now I could sign a few papers and be a self-employed artist, so I took the opportunity.
Emerson was excited and nervous as he ran to meet the bus on his first day of school. He made a few friends, mostly girls.
Roxie was a lot of help, but she was only months away from turning 18. She planned on moving out as soon as she had her party. I would miss those extra set of hands.
Washing clothes had become a daily task and I finally had to break down and hire a maid to help me handle all of the housework and so I could spend time with the children.
Roxanne’s birthday came fast, and soon she was out on her own with a secret goal to become a gold digger. She would marry old and rich.
My assumption of not having any more children proved to be wrong when I started feeling the familiar kicks of a baby growing. I was already 17 weeks pregnant when I found out and I was able to find out the sex of the baby. I was going to have another girl. This one we named Brianna.
Stan loved to play the xylophone for his mommy. My job as an artist wasn’t going so good with the kids still at home. I wanted to spend as much with these babies as I could, while they were still babies.
Kate grew up in no time. We had a quiet birthday at home with the guys. She aged up and learned to talk in the same day. She mastered the blocks in another day. I know this little girl is something special, I just can’t put my finger on it yet.
I gave birth to little Brianna by C-section and got my tubes tied. My age was showing, especially around my eyes.
Aren surprised us all and bought a jungle gym and a trampoline. I was so excited for the kids to have something to play on. I just hoped no one broke an arm.
No arms were broken on the trampoline, but kids playing with washers ended in disasters. My laundry room was flooded and I grounded all of the kids, even baby Bri.
Finally, Stan was old enough to go to school and we threw him his 5th birthday. I was so happy to see Mom’s spirit there.
Then Emerson grew into a teen. He would start high school the same day Stan started kindergarten.
Aren and I hated Emmie’s style, but we kept our mouths shut. We had learned to choose our battles with the kids, and hair wasn’t a battle to fight.
Stan was the opposite and had his hair chopped off. He was a handsome boy, with those beautiful eyes.
Little Bri grew up all by herself. Being the baby sometimes meant less attention, especially when Mommy has bad boys to have to deal with. She is a beauty though.
What is so special about Katelynn? Find out next time. Don’t forget to check on A Berry Flowery A-Z Legacy, vote for heir there, and vote in the random poll.

Well, I’m super glad to see another chapter on this legacy, Kayla! But I have to ask…new shops, a washing machine, and a trampoline?! All from Ambitions? I may have to go out and buy it (and WA, because I /still/ haven’t done that lol).
PS- Your little Simmies eyes are amazing! I’m already looking forward to more birthdays and an heir poll hehe.

Yup, all from Ambitions. I love that game. You need to buy Ambitions. WA isn’t as great.
I think you have always had a bit of a crush on this legacy.
